Supports Ukrainian Charities
This bold red expertly combines the punchy, concentrated flavours of Saperavi with the decadent, aromatic flavours of Merlot. The grapes are grown along Odessa's temperate coastline in Southern Ukraine, and the wine is aged using an ancient technique: buried underground in a giant clay vessel called a Qvevri. Just 1,700 bottles are made every year, by the resilient team at Shabo winery. For every bottle sold, Other World Wines make a donation to charities helping to rebuild Ukraine.
50% Saperavi, 50% Merlot

RESILIENT WINEMAKERS IN A STORIED COUNTRY
Winemaking in Shabo - the town to which the winery owes its name - has been culturally embedded since 1822 when swiss settlers were invited to cultivate the town vineyards. These days, the winery is operated by a passionate and talented family of internationally recognised Georgian winemakers, making use of modern facilities and the black sea climate.
